Fryelands Elementary School is bordered by city parks and playfields. The character of the school is both serious and playful. Inside, the exterior elements break down into artistic and playful forms and colors that give the school a fun, energetic and adventurous energy. Shapes and color create the sense that both the students and the school can still grow and change. The school’s design and location are the results of an exemplary partnership between the City of Monroe and Monroe School District to create a strong sense of identity within the city.
